Our mission is to promote unshakable faith in God, achieve elite fitness, and bolster strong emotional health in every person that walks through our doors.

Anita and I started CrossFit Heart Mind & Strength out of our garage in 2016.  I found CrossFit in 2009 from a friend.  I loved it from the first awful, painful, hard, nausea inducing workout.  Anita was harder to convince, but after she was convinced she was hooked.  We did it for a couple years in our garage.  We tried a year or so in a local box and felt that we weren’t getting the coaching we were paying for.  So we went back to the garage.  And there we stayed learning and sharing what we knew with everyone around us.  Anita and I had changed our lives so much and influenced others in to do the same that it occured to us “We could do this for a living!” 
I became a CrossFit Level 1 coach in 2016.  After almost ten years in healthcare, and 5 years as an RN, I decided to really help people be healthier and I quit my nursing gig and opened shop as an official CrossFit Affiliate from our garage.  In 2017 we moved to a new house with a 2000 sqft barn in the back so we could expand and have more room.  We are always striving to make the gym better, but we like the garage gym feel, so that’s how we keep it.
We do old school down and dirty CrossFit workouts with a garage gym mentality that we’re all friends working on being our best selves.
But our focus isn’t just on your body, but your mind and soul too.  We strive to help every person that comes into our gym be a better person spiritually, mentally, and physically.  Our motto is: Pure Heart, Clean Mind, Strong Body.

Our goal is that in every class you feel like you are getting personal attention and instruction.  This is why we cap all of our classes at 6 athletes.  We do our best to make classes inclusive and comfortable for everybody.
